PCF is seeking a full-time Finance and Accounting Officer to join our team at our Chiangmai office.
The job holder shall be responsible for preparing financial reports and maintaining records of revenue and expenditure, payments and other financial activities.
Job description
The Finance and Accounting Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day and monthly finances and accounting for PCF. The Finance and Accounting Officer will work closely with the Executive Director and Projects Departments, and will ensure that financials and accounting practices are performed in compliance with PCF’s and related policies, rules and regulations and standards of the Kingdom of Thailand.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General accounting tasks including but not limited to book-keeping, maintaining balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly closure and financial reports, preparing account/bank reconciliations, payrolls, cashflow, office and travel expenses.
- Prepare project payments and bank transfers and conduct any required bank transactions.
- Perform reconciliation between received income and donor/sponsor records.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and year-end closure of accounts, including bank reconciliation, and prepare reports to PCF’s Board.
- Prepare and coordinate annual financial audits.
- Effectively follow-up audit recommendations.
- Filing any applicable taxes on behalf of PCF.
- Provide PCF’s quarterly expenditure forecast and submit to the Executive Director.
- Ensure complete documentation are properly filed for easy retrieval of all accounting related documents.
- Liaise with PCF’s Dutch accountant if and when required.
- Identify and resolve any accounting discrepancies and other financial related issues.
- Identify and provide feedback and suggestions to management related to improvements to PCF’s policies, procedures, processes and financial systems.
Qualifications
Desired skills and qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience.
- Knowledge and hands on experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting softwares used for non-profit organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Thai finance and accounting systems, standards, practices and legal requirements, especially of those relevant to foundations.
- Able to work with minimum supervision and meet deadlines.
- Fluency in Thai and English.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Attention to details and accuracy.
- Good team player.
